Patty Pan. This is a healthy no fry recipe that gives the fry taste and texture in my mouth.
Patty Pan or Pans de-seeded and sliced.
Corn meal (enough for the amount of patty pan sliced)
Pre-heat the oven to 400F. In a shallow bowl put some corn meal in and add salt/other spices. You can be creative and add whatever spice you like. Mix. Get another small bowl and fill it with water. Dip the patty pan slices in the water and then in the corn meal mix. Get as much of the patty pan covered in cornmeal as you can. Then lay prepared patty pan slices on bake sheet or other baking dish/stone. Place in pre-heated oven at 400F for 25-35 minutes. Done when frork inserts into squash flesh like butter. When done, take out of oven and place on serving dish or dishes. Drizzle with olive oil. Enough to cover all the baked patty pan. Eat. Yum...
